Megan Burns, 2015 TVC Alum, earns Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week Honors

Toledo Volleyball Club is excited to announce that 2015 Alum, Megan Burns earned Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week after moving into the starting Libero position at Nova Southeastern University

In three matches this week, she totaled 83 digs and averaged a 6.38 digs per set. In each of her three games this week, she also set and surpassed career highs. Against Barry, she surpassed her previous career high of 18 digs, which was set earlier this season, by recording 19 in a 3-1 loss. In a 3-2 upset over No. 17 Florida Southern, she set a new career best with 31 digs. Burns became the first freshman in NSU history to surpass the 30-dig mark in a single match. In the Sharks' 3-1 win over Florida Tech, she eclipsed her career best yet again, finishing with 33 digs becoming the first NSU player since 2001 to collect 30-plus digs in consecutive matches. She is also the only player this season for NSU to collect more than 25 digs in a single match this season. Nova Southeastern is 16-9 overall, 7-5 in SSC play.
