I am pleased to announce that Michael Varn will be joining the Toledo Volleyball Club staff in September as the Operations Manager.  Mike will have multiple responsibilities; including facility management and tournament operations.  Mike is no stranger to TVC as he coached here while he was a student at Bowling Green State University.  While at BGSU, Mike played on the Men's Club Volleyball Team (2007-2010) and helped coach the Women's Club Volleyball team in 2010. Mike also served as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the BGSU Volleyball Team in 2011. After graduating from BGSU in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Science in Education, Mike worked in Columbus and coached with Mintonette.  This past season, he was an Assistant Coach on their m71 team and also assisted in the training of the teams in their younger tier.  I have had the opportunity to work with Mike through the OVR High Performance Program. So, I was thrilled when he approached me about returning to the Toledo area with his girlfriend Katie and getting more involved with all aspects of club management.

In addition to his administrative duties, we are also looking to Mike to assist on one of the younger teams.  While in Columbus, Mike had a tremendous following of athlete’s who trained with him regularly.  I expect Mike to be in demand for private and group lessons once he starts working on September 7th. Please check the lesson booking website for his and other coaches' availability

Leeanne, Sydney, and I have already met with Mike to put plans in place for the upcoming season.   I think I can speak for all of us when I say how excited we are for where TVC is and where we are headed as we start our 25th year.  Please stop by the office in September to meet Mike and welcome him back to TVC.
