Finding a coach for the 18-Elite team who could bring the talent, training and passion that is required for this group of athletes was not an easy task; however, TVC is thrilled to announce that we have not one, but three fantastic coaches for 18-Elite.  The head coach will be Kaycie Carr Perillo.  Kaycie is a Toledo native and Kaycie was an All-State setter at St. Ursula Academy.  As a junior, she led the SUA Arrows to their first of many state final four appearances. She continued her playing career at the College of Charleston; leading her team to the NCAA tournament in 3 of her 4 years there. She went on had a standout career at College of Charleston; including four Conference Championships and three NCAA appearances during her tenure.  Kaycie was Conference Player of the Year in 2005 and runner-up for Conference Female Athlete of the Year (all sports) in 2005.  She is #2 in the record books for career assists and assists per game.  She is 7th in the record books for Aces..  Her focus will be on setting and defense.

Kaycie recently relocated to Toledo from Chicago with her husband, Mick, and young son, Roman.  Mick’s job in Commercial Lending for Fifth Third Bank allows him to live anywhere and Kaycie brought him to Toledo.  Mick is a gifted volleyball player in his own right.  He played for Sports Performance in Chicago during his prep years and played collegiately for Dominican University.  He is a member of the OVR PVL (Premier Volleyball League) team.  Mick will be assisting Kaycie and will work with players on all aspects of the game.

Also assisting Kaycie and Mick will be Rob McAndrew.  Rob, a 6’7” middle hitter who played collegiately at MIT (not only a great volleyball player, he is also quite smart.)  He and his wife Brittany are the parents of a 1-year-old daughter.  They returned to Toledo last year from NYC.  He now works for the Andersons.  Rob, like Mick, is very active on the volleyball circuit and played for the Lakeshore Region PVL team.  Rob will be responsible for helping train the middles.

I am excited to welcome Kaycie, Mick and Rob to our coaching staff.  All three will also be working some of the TVC Summer Camps & Clinics and we are working on finalizing plans for the Summer Open House on July 26th, 4 p.m.-6 p.m.
