TVC FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES

It is our hope that no player who makes a team chooses not to participate because of financial considerations.  To that end, we have put in place several fundraising opportunities to help offset fees.  Please keep in mind, that travel to and from tournaments is not covered and can be a significant expense.  Our philosophy is if you want to play and are willing to work hard there is a way to make it happen.

The Eric S. Pfohl Scholarship Application
The Eric S. Pfohl Scholarships are given to TVC athletes in memory of a wonderful man who was an early supporter of TVC.  Eric was the husband of Kate Pfohl and the father of two past and one current TVC players, Sarah, Amy and Molly and two sons; Eric, Jr. and Michael.

Program Book Ad Sales
Each year a program book with pictures of all the teams and travel schedules is produced.  This program book is used for college recruiting and passed out at our local tournaments.  Ads are sold for the book ranging from a $25.00 listing to a $2,500 back cover ad.  The player selling the ad receives 75% of the cost of the ad to offset fees.  The remaining 25% goes to TVC to help offset the cost of producing the ads and book.  (We must have at least $15,000 in ad sales to cover the cost of producing the book- if that is not reached, we will convert the ads sold to banners and signage at the LCRC)

Banner Sales
We will be selling banner space at the LCRC this year.  The banners will be hung in the volleyball area for 12 months.  The banner fee is $ 500.00 and includes the cost of producing the banner.  The player selling the banner will receive 50% of the sale.

Website Ads
Logo Ads on the TVC website will be available this year.  The ad will appear on the website for 12 months.  The cost of the website ad ranges between $250.00 and $1000.00. The player selling the website ad will receive 75% of the ad sales

Kroger Community Rewards
The KCR program is available to all TVC players. Families who shop at Kroger can attach their Kroger Loyalty Card to TVC.  Kroger allocates money to the KCR fund and TVC will receive a % of those funds based on the participation level.  There is no limit to the number of family and friends each player can sign up for this program.  We will have a form to fill out when you add additional people to the KCR program so that we can accurately account for the funds.  Past participants have raised between $50 and several hundred dollars to offset their fees.  There is an annual fee of $10 per player to cover the administration of the account. For those who already shop at Kroger, this is an exceptionally simple way to offset fees.

Talk of the City Coupon Books
Players can sell coupon books for $20.00 and receive $10.00 per book sold.  The coupon books have lots of great coupons at area restaurants and service providers.  One trip to get an oil change, and you have covered your $20.00 investment in the book.

Mixed Bag Fundraiser
Players will have the opportunity to sell re-usable bags to their family and friends.  The bags come in a variety of patterns, colors, and sizes and are quite popular with people looking to be “green.”  Player will receive 50% from the sale of the bags.

Work Opportunities
There are opportunities for players to earn money to be used to offset their fees by working at TVC hosted tournaments.  Working in the concession stand/apparel sales as well as performing other tasks will be available.  If you are interested in working, there will be a sign up announcement available at the Meet the Team Night as well as on the TVC website in mid-December.  Your fees will be credited at the rate of $6.50 per hour worked.
