2009/2010 TVC Team Levels and Fees
The most competitive level of team at TVC is our National Team. The teams will travel extensively to the most competitive tournaments with the goal of qualifying for the Junior Nationals (held in late June/early July- location TBD). We plan to have a National Team at each age level beginning at 12’s. All teams will have a head coach and assistant coach. The 14 and older teams will end their season at the AAU tournament in Orlando if the team does not qualify for JO Nationals. 12’s and 13’s will end their season in late May.

The second level of teams at TVC will be our Mizuno Teams. The Mizuno teams will play a competitive schedule within the region. The 15 and older Mizuno teams will also attend at least one national qualifier. We expect the Mizuno teams to be highly competitive. However we reserve the right to change the designation from National to American within the region if the talent level of the team is such that they would not be competitive in the National Division.

The third level of teams are the Regional teams. These teams will travel to tournaments throughout the Ohio Valley Region. Their season ends with the regional championships in Columbus in mid-May. Regional Teams practice twice a week for 2 hours. This is an excellent level of competition for players who play another spring sport or have other obligations. We expect to field 1 - 2 club/regional teams at each age level beginning at 12. The OVR has established a new level of regional team at 14 to 18. This Division is the American Division. We are anticipating offering an American Level Team 14-16’s.

The fourth level of teams are the Early Bird teams. These teams will play an abbreviated season that begins in December and ends at the end of February. This level is designed for the spring sport athlete who still wants to play competitive volleyball. Provided there is the interest level, we will offer early bird teams for the 14’s-18’s.

The fifth level is TVC Blue. This is a DEVELOPMENTAL level of team offered for ages 12 and under teams only. The majority of the tournaments will be in the Toledo area. The local teams will also end their season at the regional championships in Columbus in May. We expect to field between 2-4 local teams at the 11 and 12 age levels. 10-1 is considered a TVC Blue team.

The sixth level is the Youth and Junior High Program. The goal of this program is to reduce the cost associated with playing club volleyball. This program will give players all of the benefits of training with TVC without the burden of traveling and playing in all-day events. The Youth program will begin training in January and end in late April. Teams in the Youth Program will play in a league hosted at Premier Academy on Tuesday nights. Youth Teams are for players in 4th and 5th grade. The Junior High Program is for players in 7th and 8th grade. Practice will be twice per week for 1.5 hours. The players in the youth program will not play in any region-sanctioned events. Players can sign up for the Youth and Junior High Program –but must register and attend tryouts so that the teams can be divided properly.

Fees will include the following:
- Administrative Support
- Coaching Pay and Travel Reimbursement
- Practice Facility
- Practice Equipment
- Tournament Entry Fees (including Nationals or AAU’s for National Teams) ** If a Mizuno level team qualifies for Nationals, the cost for participation will be divided among the players (cost is estimated at $3500 per team)
- Boot Camp (14 and older teams) 5 weeks 2 times/week
- Weekly Plyo Training and Conditioning (National, Mizuno and all teams 14 and older) 2 times/week on non-practice days
- Pre-Season Position Clinics (does not include holiday skill clinics)
Fees Do Not Include the Following:
- Uniform Package: Returning Players will have the opportunity to reuse some uniforms. Below is the estimated cost for a complete uniform package:
- $100 for Youth and Junior High Program
- $150 for TVC Blue, Early Bird, Regional Teams
- $225 for National and Mizuno Teams
- Travel Costs to and From Tournaments
